For the Tomahawks, as mentioned, they roll into Maine after splitting a two-game series at home against the Jamestown Rebels last weekend.

Game one on Friday night saw a low scoring affair. Jamestown’s John Lundy kicked it off by scoring the game’s first goal. Then, after a scoreless second period, Hawks forward Jake Black scored a mid-period breakaway goal, sending the game to overtime. Eventually, the game saw a shootout, and from there, Jamestown’s Carter Casper scored the only goal out of four rounds. Taking the game over the Tomahawks at a final score of 2-1.

Game two Saturday night saw a different, and much better result for the Tomahawks, as they split the series with a 4-0 win over Jamestown. Captain Holt Oliphant got us started by scoring the lone goal in the first frame. Followed in the second with a goal from Cole Bianchin. Wrapping it up in the third with goals from Egan Schmitt and Braedon Ford. Goaltender Sam Evola stopped all 29 shots faced between the pipes, collecting his first shutout of the season.
