Johnstown comes into this series after splitting a two-gamer against the Maryland Black Bears last weekend on the road. Game one saw Johnstown fall 4-1, but responding in a unique way in game two.

After an Egan Schmitt goal midway through the second and a Maryland Brad McNeil goal midway through the third was the result after sixty, the game would seek OT. From there, Jake Black capitalized and scored a buzzer beater goal, with exactly one second remaining, sending the Hawks home with the 2-1 win. Matthew O'Donnell stopped 35/36, picking up the win.
