Tomahawks Look to Continue Perfect Home Record vs Generals
Written by: David Nicoletti
After a physical weekend sweep against Maryland, the Johnstown Tomahawks are back at home for this weekend series. This time, the Tomahawks will welcome the Northeast Generals to 1ST SUMMIT ARENA for a three-game series this Friday through Sunday. Puck drops are for 7:30 pm on Friday, 7 pm on Saturday, and 2 pm on Sunday.
This weekend at the War Memorial will host the eighth, ninth, and 10th match-up between the Hawks and Gens. The last time these two teams played each other were back on January 29th-31st. The Tomahawks would play Northeast in a three-game series. From there, the Hawks would sweep the Gens, outscoring Northeast that weekend 13-6. They would take home 6-2, 4-3, and 3-1 wins to send the Generals home without a win.
The Northeast Generals come into this series after being swept by the New Jersey Titans last weekend on the 12th and 13th. They would get shut out in game one 5-0, following up game two with a 4-2 loss to the Titans. Princeton University commit forward Nick Seitz from New Jersey would score four goals that entire weekend against the Gens, two in game one, and two in game two.
Your Tomahawks come into this series after sweeping the Maryland Black Bears at home last weekend on the 12th and 13th. Game one would see some Old Time Hockey down at the barn, four fights and a Johnstown 5-2 win to boot. Following that up in game two with a tough back-and-forth match-up, that would end with weekend hero Will Margel scoring the game-winning-goal in OT, taking the series for your Hawks 4-3.
