The Tomahawks come into this series after taking two games out of three at home against the Northeast Generals. Games one and two would be a back-and-forth contest, but Johnstown would stay strong and take game one 5-4, and game two 4-3. Congratulations to Tomahawks forward Will Margel for recently being named Bauer’s East Division Star Of The Week for the week of March 22nd.

The Potomac, Maryland native, had seven points (5 goals, two assists) in the three games. On Friday, Margel posted an assist in a 5-4 win. On Saturday, he had a hat-trick, including the game-winning goal and an assist in a 4-3 win. On Sunday, he picked up two more goals in a 5-4 loss.

Coach Mike Letizia stated the following about Margel’s magical weekend:

“Despite being disappointed that we did not pick up all six points this past weekend, Will had an outstanding three games. He was dangerous all weekend long and was a big contributor to our offense, as he has been since joining our team in late December. Will is a dynamic player that has the ability to be a scoring threat each time he touches the puck. We will need him to continue his strong play down the stretch as we battle the rest of the East Division.”

Forward William Persson was also honored as an Honorable Mention in this week's Stars of the Week. The Swedish sensation put up a five-point weekend (one goal, four assists) in last weekend's three-game series against the Northeast Generals.

A big congratulations to former Tomahawks forward Tyler Basham and his wife, Carrisa Basham, on welcoming the birth of their new baby boy, Colton Douglas Richard Basham, who was born on 3/21/2021.
