Generals Fall to Visiting Warthogs

Before the Tomahawks took to the ice at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA for game two of their three-game series against the Northeast Generals on Saturday, The Johnstown Generals were back in action as they hosted the Pittsburgh Warthogs for a 4:00pm veteran hockey game.

Pittsburgh would get on the board first, with four unanswered goals to start the first 20 minutes to play. The Warthogs would lead the game with shots on goal with 14-5 after the first.

Johnstown would then take advantage early in the second, as defensemen Sean Mullen would score the Generals first goal of the game unassisted at 2:47.

Pittsburgh would however respond minutes later with a goal to put them up 5-1 as the game way nearing halfway.

The Warthogs would then add one goal more goal to make it a 6-1 Pittsburgh lead at the end of 40 minutes. Shots on goal were 21-18 for Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh would then add three more goals on the score-sheet, including one on the power-play to defeat the Generals 9-1. Final shots on goal were 35-33 for Johnstown

Up next for the Generals will be a road game to Washington DC, to take on the DC Warriors. Puck drop is for 9 PM, and Hawks Daily will be on the scene to cover the match-up between the two teams. Let’s Go Gens!!
