The Johnstown Generals were back in action on Saturday evening with a set of games on the schedule. They would travel to Galactic Ice in Altoona for a 6:30 p.m.game against the Altoona Hooligans, followed by a 7:30 p.m. match against the Altoona Thunderbuddies.

The Hooligans in game one would score two unanswered goals to make it an early 2-0 lead. But Johnstown would respond at the end of the period with a goal from Matthew Fetzer to make it 2-1 Altoona after one.

Late in the second is when Altoona would strike again to make it 3-1. However, it wouldn’t take long until Adam Richards from the Generals would respond to make it a 3-2 game. Altoona would respond with one more to end the second with their side up 4-2.

Altoona would then go on to add two more in the third to take the game at a final score of 6-2. Regardless of the goals given up, goaltender Jess Mullen would still play a great game in net for the Generals in her debut with the team.

The Thunderbuddies in game two would start the first period by scoring three goals on the Generals. But Jeremy Romesburg would add one for the Generals to make it 3-1 Altoona after 17 minutes of play.

A Matthew Fetzer goal would put the Gens ever closer with a 3-2 score. But Altoona would keep it going by scoring one more to make it 4-2 after two. That would be the end of the game as the third period would be scoreless, claiming the win for Altoona.
