Written by: David Nicoletti

The Johnstown Generals were back on the ice Thursday evening as they took on the Altoona Hooligans for an 8:30 p.m. contest at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA.

Johnstown would get the game started with an early 1-0 lead on the Hooligans. Adam Richards would get the goal to get things kicked off. However, Altoona would come back to score three unanswered goals by the end of the first to make it a 3-1 Hooligan game after 17 minutes of play. Goals would come from Ethan Howe, Derek Vaughn, and #14. Shots on goal after one would be 18-3 for Altoona.

Altoona’s #14 and Vaughn would add the only two goals in the game's midway frame, as it was 5-1 for the Hooligans after two. Shots on goal would be 26-15 Altoona heading into the final period.

Hooligan’s Matt Kosko would end up adding another goal to Altoona’s side to make it 6-1. Johnstown would respond by making it a 6-2 game off of the stick of Jeremy Romesburg. However, it wouldn’t be enough to spark a comeback, as Johnstown would fall to the visiting Hooligans as the score would remain. The final shots on goal would be 33-26 for Altoona.

Up next for the Johnstown Generals will be a road game on May 2nd, as the Generals will travel to the Mario Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township for a 2 p.m. game against the Pittsburgh Warriors. Make sure you clear your schedule and come out to support!
